MAMI (Mamas Across Music Initiative), founded by Bee Adamic and Johanna Bramli and launched on International Women's Day 2018, is a collective of mamas in music that have come together because they want to empower, support and share experiences with the current and next generation of women working in the music industry.
It's an initiative to promote a positive message about parenthood and being active within music. Sharing how different mamas make it work and the changes they've made.
MAMI will provide:
SUPPORT - for like minded mamas to come together for networking, story-telling and the sharing of ideas. Also helping mamas who have stepped away to have a family and need the confidence and support to come back into the industry.
EDUCATE - for mamas to exchange experiences at events, with the next generation of females in music, offer them support and empowerment on how you don't have to choose a family over a career in music or vice versa.
INSPIRE - through a positive and unified message, the focus is to break away from misconceptions around the incompatibility of parenthood and working in the industry, focussing on inspirational stories whilst acknowledging the challenges.
CONNECT - hosting a series of events to enable us to educate and connect women and mamas.
Spring Forward Festival -
